What do you know about blenders?
Monday, March 23rd, 2009Daughter on a health kick. Went to a Home Show and saw a blender demonstration – the Vita Mix 5200. Blended apples and seeds, strawberries with leaves, and zested oranges to a fine, delicious mix. They wanted $449 – wow! THe VM5200 has a 2 horsepower (15 amp) motor. Will a decent 3.0 amp mixer do the same for $300 less?
I actually own the Vita-Mix5200! Funny I found your question because I just finished using it…I use it on a daily basis for my protein shakes post-workout.
I have owned it for 2 years now and still works the same as the day I bought it. It was worth every penny of $450. I used to swear by Kitchenaid Blenders but the coupler or motor would burn out on them after only about 4-5 months since I use my blenders to crush ice in my shakes.
Spend the extra bucks and INVEST in a vita-mix…it may cost alot now but ultimately it's superior to consumer brand blenders and will save you money!!!!!
