Where Can I Sell an Original 1953 Steel Kitchen Cabinet Set?

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

We are selling our vintage kitchen in the home we just purchased. Below you will find the details on the kitchen.

We have found the original blender that attaches to the counter blender hookup. This cabinet set is in pristine condition, but will need some restoration (they were installed in 1953). A set like this is extremely rare. All have original serial numbers still inside the cabinet, including a push button lazy susan. ALL of these were way ahead of their time in 1953.

Or Craig’s list.

You will need to take a couple of good pics of each piece to provide prospective buyers.

Good luck…

Kitchen Blender Problem?

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

The bottom, the part that is screwed into the pitcher part, is stuck! No amount of effort can undo it, what are some tactics to get it undone? :)

Any help would be MUCH appreciated!!

If the bottom part is plastic, try squirting some oil in between the jar and the ring. Let it sit for a bit. If that doesn’t work, try setting the bottom in hot water for a couple minutes. Maybe this will expand the ring enough you can get it off. Good Luck!

Where can I buy an Oster Kitchen Center?

Friday, September 25th, 2009

I was told some company bought out Oster and/or they discontinued the Kitchen Center. It was a blender and mixer in one. My mom’s is a dark yellow, with stainless steel bowls that sit on a turntable. You can take the top part off to put the blender on it. It came with dough hooks and some other one. Here is a picture of it, from the cookbook they had with it:

Even if it’s not Oster, I’ve been trying to find something similar. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Check out the website below. They should have what you are looking for.

MPs can get up to 200 pounds to buy a Kitchen Blender, but what should they stick in it?

Tatrafan….lol…yes they don’t have financial chastity belts. :)

I think they should stick their nobs in it.
That would stop them f***ing the tax payers!!

Can I use a vita-mix in the place of a frothing pitcher for milk for my coffee?

Monday, September 21st, 2009

If so what are some tips about using a blender instead?

If you put cold milk in a pan on the stove and whisk it while heating, you’ll get hot frothed milk almost as good as any from a pitcher.

I do this when making cappuccinos for a group of people.

A blender will just give you cold milk with some bubbles.
