Cheap Blenders

Blenders come in every size, shape, color, and price range on the market today.  For those who require a blender simply for the basics, are there cheap blenders available that will do a decent job in the kitchen?  The good news is that there are several less expensive, yet functional, blenders available on the small kitchen appliance market today.

Cheap blenders don’t have to appear cheap, nor do they have to be constructed from lower quality materials.  Here are several examples of quality blenders that are reasonably priced and will perform a decent number of functions.

The KitchenAid KSB560 5-Speed Blender has a price range of $64 to $150.  The 56-ounce polycarbonate blending pitcher with 2-ounce measuring cup is stain resistant, scratch resistant, and clear so you can see what is going on with your ingredients.  The powerful 0.9 horsepower motor and patented blade system guarantee consistent results.  The heavy die-cast metal base keeps the blender from walking across the counter while you are blending.  This model boasts a unique design that allows for continuous use without overheating the motor.  The control panel located on the base is smooth, making it easy to clean and easy to read.  If you often crush ice, you’ll appreciate the automatic crushed ice button that shuts off when the ice is crushed properly.  Intelli-Speed® Control gives you greater versatility when blending.  There are five speeds from which to choose, plus a pulse option that can be engaged during any of the speeds.  This KitchenAid blender will blend baby food from whole foods, puree sauces, whip up dips, blend smoothies and even frozen drinks.  For the price, you have a fantastic array of features and functions.  One drawback for consumers with this model was the noise level during operation.  However, they gladly accepted the noise for the versatility this blender offers.

The Hamilton Beach 908 Commercial 2-Speed Blender is another inexpensive blender that ranges in price from $40 to $140.  This Hamilton Beach blender has graced the countertops and bars of residential kitchens, restaurants, and taverns for a long time.  It’s a simplistic blender in design with an on/off switch and 2 toggle switches that control the blending speed.  This blender features a neoprene clutch assembly that is said to increase the length of the blenders’ motor life.  The polycarbonate container is designed for durability and stain resistance.  The die-cast metal base keeps the blender in place when you’re blending daiquiris, smoothies, coffee drinks, and more.  For the price, some say this is the best entry-level professional blender on the market.

Hand held blenders, also known as immersion blenders, are another option when it comes to cheap blenders.  These blender styles range from as low as $26 to $69 and can perform multiple functions in addition to blending.  Some of the models come with attachments that allow you the option of chopping and whipping in addition to blending your ingredients.  Hand held blenders are ideal for just about any budget and are just the right size for small or large kitchens.

Just because you don’t pay hundreds of dollars for a blender doesn’t mean you can’t expect great results in your kitchen.  Cheap blenders can be just as functional and handy as the more expensive versions.  You might not get the attractive looks and the color options, but you’ll get a blender that gives you the blending options you want for your cooking and baking.
