If so, post any drawbacks.
And maybe some recipe links?
OH, and i myself enjoyed the demos.
It's very expensive and my friend ended up not even using the one she bought (I don't even know why she bought it).
I don't know of any recipe links. I do know that my friends and I really enjoyed the demos VitaMix did at the LA County Fair.

I wanted to answer your question-No the Vita-Mix is not like every blender on the market. Its actually a whole foods processor that does 52 kitchen tasks including quick chopping, makes hot soup, homemade ice cream, sauces, appetizers and meals in minutes. The power of the blades actually pulverizes the food into smaller particles releasing additional nutrients in your fruit and vegetables that you can’t get from chewing alone.
The Vita-Mix also comes with several resources for recipes and has a full online blog community filled with loyal Vita-Mix customers exchanging recipes, and ideas.
Hope these links will help you.
